APT -- Philippines Stop Begins Thursday

The Asian Poker Tour Returns to Manila

Nam LeThe second stop for the Asian Poker Tour in the Philippines has come to Manila. The Dusit Thani Manila hotel in Makati plays host to the $2,500 no-limit hold’em main event. Players will begin with 10,000 in tournament chips. The tournament begins on Thursday, Jan. 29 at noon local time and continues until the conclusion of the final table on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Many players are expected at the event, including the Poker Pack, a group of professionals who have contracts to promote the APT. Those players include Nam Le, Steve Sung, Chino Rheem, Quinn Do, and J.C. Tran. This group also includes the first Asian-based member of the Poker Pack, Kwang Soo Lee, from South Korea, who finished in fourth place at the 2008 APT Philippines main event.
