Here are a couple of highlights from this exciting event:
Florian Langman Takes the Lead
The German PokerStars Shooting Star Florian Langman raised preflop to 12,000, Ilari Sahamies reraised to 30,000, Langmann made it 67,000, and Sahamies, not to be outdone, popped it to 120,000. Langmann won the battle of wills, however, when he shoved all in for 350,000, and Sahamies folded. This 240,000 pot put Florian Langmann on the top of the leader board without even showing a card.
Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott Eliminated in 16th Place
Betrand ‘ElkY’ Grospieller raised under the gun, and Dave Ulliott shoved. Grospellier called, and Ulliot said, "Please show A-Q!" and, to his delight, ElkY revealed A J. Ulliott was ahead as he revealed A K. Then K 6 7 came on the flop, and Ulliott said, "I like those cards!" However the J came on the turn, and the J on the river. Ulliott, disgusted, made his exit, saying, “That’s how you win tournaments!”
