Anyone who’s ever attended a PaddyPowerPoker.com tournament in Ireland will know to expect something special in the way of entertainment and the upcoming Irish Winter Festival will be no different.
Former world snooker and darts champions Dennis Taylor and Eric Bristow are set to attend and will take part in an unusual prop bet challenge — they will take on all-comers in their sports on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 October 2010, from 9 to 11 p.m., but will be handicapped by playing with a broom handle and a revolving dart board respectively.
Poker players and fans of the duo will win special prizes such as buy in to the Blind Man’s Bluffand €200 no-limit hold’em freezeout events if they manage to “beat the pro”.
Additional entertainment will be provided each evening in the Bellini Bar at the Burlington Hotel by live bands such as The Whisht, Superfly and Pump up the Jam while guests will be also be mesmerised by magician Shane Gillen.
To round things off there will be a variety of drinks promotions throughout the festival and a world record attempt could be on the cards.
