Preflop, final table, five handed, with the blinds at 10,000 and 20,000 and a 3,000 ante, Raghavan raised to 50,000, and Mateos called in the big blind. On the flop Mateos bet 65,000, Raghavan raised to 175,000, Mateos reraised to 410,000, Raghavan went all-in, and Mateos called.
Mateos wasted no time in leading out with his flopped two-pair, but Raghavan elected to push the action with his combination straight and flush draw with royal potential. Mateos realized the board was draw-heavy, so he protected his hand with a substantial reraise of his own. Raghavan was ready to commit with his promising equity, but Mateo was not going to fold. The turn opened up some additional outs for Raghavan, now an Ace, Queen, or Ten would give him a winner along with his previous outs to Jacks and Spades. Mateo faded a powerful draw, eliminating a tough opponent in 5th place for €176,000. Raghavan has managed to make the successful transition from online to live play, in December 2012 he won the WPT Five Diamond Classic for $1.2 million.
