The NBA’s Shawn Marion was once the only player in the league ranked in the top 20 in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, field goal percentage, and minutes (2005-06 season). Known as one of the best all-round players in the NBA, his upcoming Hearts and Helmets Charity Poker Tournament, scheduled for Jan. 30 in Scottsdale

, Arizona

, shows that this Phoenix Suns forward is also an all-round person away from the court.

A slew of celebrities and sports stars are expected to attend. Festivities will run from 4:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m., and, in addition to the poker tournament, there will be a live and silent auction for a variety of exclusive prizes and invitations. A few of these include Suns/Spurs floor seats, tickets to the Super Bowl, a private jet to Napa for a day, and celebrity dinners.

The benefiting charities are Brad Pitt’s Global Green USA Project for rebuilding New Orleans, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Fournier Center for Empowerment, Free Arts of Arizona, ICAN, Junior Achievement, the Bus Stops Here Foundation, the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, and Suns Nite Hoops.

Tickets to attend this event are $1,000-per-person and the exact location will be provided upon registration. Organizers hope to raise more than $1 million for the charities at hand. For more information, or to register, click here.
