The Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas is jumping on the poker series wagon and will hold the Grand Poker Series from June 6-July 6 this summer.
This tournament series will feature 30 mostly no-limit hold’em events with buy-ins ranging between $225 and $1,080. Players can also buy extra bonus chips for each tournament for $10.
This March, the poker comedy The Grand is scheduled to be released. The movie centers around a single fictitious poker tournament called The Grand Championship of Poker. The movie was filmed at the Golden Nugget. Click here to read about it.
The tournament kicks off with a $1,080 charity tournament called Cards, Celebrity, and a Cause, which will be hosted by Montel Williams. The tournament will benefit the fight against multiple sclerosis.
