Hand #206: Rhynie Campbell Wins the Inaugural Turks and Caicos Poker Classic

The blinds are still at 12,000-24,000, with a 3,000 ante. In heads-up play, the button has the small blind and acts first before the flop.

Hand #206 - Rhynie Campbell has the button, he completes to 24,000, Cajelais raises to 124,000, Campbell moves all in, and Cajelais calls with Q9. Campbell shows 1010, and Cajelais needs to improve to survive.

The flop comes Q93, and Cajelais flops two pair to take the lead, and the crowd reacts with startled shock. The turn card is the K, and Campbell needs a jack (for a straight) or a ten to win the tournament right here.

The river card is the -- 10!

The explosive cheer from the crowd is deafening, and everything the announcer said after, "The river is a ten!" was drowned out. Rhynie Campbell wins the pot -- and the inaugural WPT Turks & Caicos Islands Poker Classic -- with a set of tens.

Erik Cajelais finishes in second place, earning $225,000.

Rhynie Campbell wins the WPT Turks & Caicos Islands Poker Classic, earning $436,675, a championship bracelet, and that includes a $25,500 entry into the Season VI WPT World Championship in April, 2008.
