In one of the first hands of Level 21, Ryan Hughes took a six-figure pot off of Jonas Klausen and continued to bully the rest of table throughout the round. Soon after putting another 100k distance between himself and Klausen, Hughes went after him again, this time with dire consequences for Klausen and the rest of the table.
Ryan Hughes brought it in with 2 and Jonas Klausen completed the bet with the A. Hughes raised and Klausen called. Klausen picked 3 on fourth street and bet out, Hughes called with the 4.

Hughes bet out this time on fifth street and Klausen called. On sixth street Hughes bet out again, but this Klausen folded. Hughes took another big pot off of Klausen, this time putting his chip count over 900,000. A monster chip lead over the rest of the table.

Jonas Klausen Regains Chip Lead
Josh Feldman (J) and Jonus Klasuen (A) got four bets in on third street. Klausen bet out first on fourth street (4) and Feldman raised (9). Klausen reraised (enough to put Feldman all in) and Feldman called all in.

Feldman started the hand with split jacks, making two pair (jacks and nines) on fourth street, which is where the money got in. Klausen started the hand with split aces and didn’t make two pair (aces and kings) until the river, either way Josh Feldman was eliminated in 7th place ($23,019) while Jonas Klausen regained the chip lead once again with just under 500,000.
Big Stacks Battle, Hughes Takes Lead Back From Klausen
In a big pot between the two biggest stacks at the table, Jonas Klausen came up short and Ryan Hughes once again stole the chip lead from Klausen. By the time the hand was over, Ryan Hughes was leading the pack with just under 550,000 while Jonas Klausen fell back down to just under 375,000.

Thomas Hunt completed with the A and Tim D’Alessandro raised with 10. Hunt reraised and D’Alessandro made it four bets. Hunt called the raise and then bet out on fourth street with the K. With the elimination of James Richburg (9th) right before the level change, the final eight players took a half-hour break to prepare for the final table. Here was what the final table (eight-handed) looked like as play began in Level 20.

Alessio Isaia brought it in with the 2 and Ryan Hughes completed the bet with the 2. Isaia called and continued to bet all the way down through seventh street. Hughes looked him up.

The players had a showdown on the river where Isaia turned over a jack-high flush (high) and a 6-4-3-2-A low, scooping the pot and taking the chip from Hughes with almost 350,000. After the hand, former chip leader Ryan Hughes fell down to just about 250,000.

Down to his last 8,000 in chips, Davis Sklansky called all in with the 8 when Tim D’Alessandro completed the bet with the 4. Ryan Hughes raised the side pot with the 7 and D’Alessandro called.

Ron Long brought it in with the 6 and David Brooker completed the bet with the A. Long called the raise.

Brooker hit a king on fourth street and bet out. Long called with a deuce. Brooker checked a queen on fifth street and Long bet with a five. Brooker called all in for the rest of his chips. By seventh street, Brooker had to failed to make a single pair or a qualifying low hand. Long made a pair of eights and it was good enough to scoop the pot, and as a result, David Brooker was eliminated in 12th place ($11,880).

Ryan Hughes took the betting lead from the start and Daniel Nicewander had committed all of his chips by the river, calling him down and coming up short on seventh street. Hughes turned over two pair (sixes and threes) for the high hand and Nicewander threw his hand away, failing to catch a better high hand or make a qualifying low. Hughes scooped the pot and Daniel Nicewander was eliminated in 11th place ($11,880).

Margaret limped in with the 9 as did Josh Feldman with the 8.

Feldman took the betting lead on fourth street and Macre called. On fifth street, Macre bet out with the ace and Feldman raised. Macre called the raise all in. Macre made two pair (nines and eights) by the river where Feldman made aces up. With no qualifying low hand for Macre, Feldman scooped the pot and Margaret Macre was eliminated in 10h place ($15,593).
James Richburg Eliminated in 9th place ($15,593)
Alessio Isaia brought it in with the 4, Josh Feldman raised with the 7, and James Richburg reraised all in with the 9. Both Feldman and Isaia called the raise and continued to pay heads-up for the side pot.

James Richburg is eliminated in 9th place ($15,593) and Feldman and Isaia split the main pot as well
Cards are in the air for the final day of event no. 47, but the final table has yet to be set. The $1,500 Stud 8/b final table was scheduled to begin at 3 pm today, but at about 3:20 am, the tournament staff once again exercised the right to change the schedule, ending play at the completion of Level 18 with 13 players left. The final 13 players have just begun play at what are now the final two tables. The final day of event no. 47 will last considerably longer than expected, but rest assured that a winner will be crowned here tonight. Play will begin in Level 19 with a 2,000 ante, 2,000 bring-in, and an 8,000 completion.
