Ralph Schwartz Wins Event #26 ($275,683)

In a 10 minute heads up battle Ralph Schwartz has defeated Bill Gazes to win his first WSOP bracelet.  On the final hand of Omaha Schwartz raised on the button and was called by Gazes.  The flop came Q63, Gazes bet and Schwartz raised.  Gazes made the call and the turn was the 4.  Gazes checked, then called for all his chips after Schwartz bet.  Schwartz tabled 8532 and Gazes K-K-7-6.  The river was the 2. giving Schwartz the straight for the high, and the winning low as well.  Gazes takes home $153,408 for his second place victory.

Hour Five Recap

River Magic
Limit Hold'em Gou raises on the button and is called by Schwartz from the big blind.  The flop comes 972, Schwartz leads, Gou raises and Schwartz reraises.  Gou makes the call and the turn comes 8.  Schwartz bets and Gou calls, the river comes Q.  Schwartz bets again, sending Gou into the tank.  He finally calls and Schwartz tables Q-J for a rivered pair of queens.  Cho grins and he chucks his cards into the muck.

Yuebin Gou Eliminated 3rd ($99,264)
Omaha.  On a board of AK10, Schwartz bets and Gou calls.  The turn comes 3, Schwartz bets putting Gou all in.  Gou calls and tables A-3-X-X with a flush draw and Schwartz has A-Q-3-4.  Gou is again rivered when it comes Q, giving Schwartz a better two pair.

Hour Four Update

Yuebin Played
Yuebin Gou may not be a household name, but he has just proven he can play with the best.  In a huge hand during the seven card stud portion, Gou made a sick call down with just a pair of fours against Bill Gazes.  Gazes fired the entire way showing a straight and flush draw, and Gou  would not go away.  On seventh street, Gazes shot one more futile salvo but Gou made the call.  He has just cracked the $600,000 chip mark.

Phil Ivey Eliminated 4th ($65,424)
Ivey gets all his money in of 5th street with (7-5) 976 and is called by Yuebin Chu with QQ10.  Ivey doesn't improve on either street six or seven and is eliminated in fourth place.  This was Ivey's second final table of this years WSOP.  He is still on his quest for a sixth bracelet.

Rob Mizrachi gets all in with a 9 low, but Bill Gazes has an 8 low.  Mizrachi is sent home in fifth.

Four Handed

Hour Two

Yuebin Gou and Rob Mizrachi Battle
In $15,000-3,0000 limit hold'em Mizrachi 3-bets Gou preflop and he makes the call.  The flop comes A75, Mizrachi bets and Gou raises. Mizrachi makes the call and the turn comes 2.  Mizrachi checks, Gou tanks then checks.  The river comes J and Mizrachi bets.  Gou returns to the tank, then finally folds.  Mizrachi is considered one of the most underrated poker players there is, and his a mixed game specialist.  Don't be surprised if you see him battling heads up for the bracelet.

You Should of Killed Him When You Had the Chance
After being all in twice earlier at the final table Yobein Gou has won his last five hands and amassed an impressive stack.  He is now the chip leader.

Not Going Anywhere
We haven't lost a player in a while, and like most H.O.R.S.E. tournaments this is going to go deep in the night.

Alex Jung Eliminated 6th ($37,901)
Alex Jung moves all in preflop for his remaining chips with A-Q-J-2 and is called by Rob Mizrachi, Phil Ivey and Ralph Schwartz.  The flop comes 987, Schwartz checks, Mizrchi bets and both players call.  The turn comes J, Schwartz checks, Mizrachi bets and only Ivey calls.  The river is the 8 and both players check.  Mizrachi shows 106X-X, Ivey mucks and Jung is eliminated 6th.

FInal Table Hour One

Bill Gazes Doubles Up, Schultz Crippled
Bill Gazes doubles up with J-J-7-7 against Thom Schultz's 6-6, crippling him.  He has only $5,000 chips.  On the next hand Schultz more then doubles up and is still in contention.

Schultz Triples Up, Yuebin Guo Doubles
In a philanthropic move Phil Ivey has redistributed his wealth amongst some of the poorer players at the table.  In a 3-way all in pot Schultz tripled up when he made sixes full of fours, Yuebin Guo doubled with A-A-Q-Q and Ivey paid most of the money when he missed a straight draw with 9-9

Go Yuebin Gou!
Gou has Tripled up with J-10-9-8-7 against Rob Mizrachi's 9-9-5-5.  Ivey was also in the hand but he mucked.  Gou now has $272,000.

Break
The players are on a 15 minute break

Champ Returns
Eli Elezra returned to the table in which he won his first bracelet last night.  He received a nice round of applause from the crowd and he looked good for someone that must have had quite a night.

Thom Schultz Eliminated 7th ($28,877)
Schultz gets it all in on fifth street, but is behind Ralph Schwarz's K-K.  He picks up a low draw on sixth street but bricks out and is sent home in 7th place.
