Tomorrow is Another Day

Well today I played for a short period of time in the 1.5k No Limit Holdem event at the LAPC. To say that things went badly was an understatement. I picked up AK twice and lost, had a couple of small pairs which didn't hold up and generally went nowhere. The good news is I didn't waste a lot of time, I was out before the first break.

Prior to the start of the event I did have a good talk with Cherie Dokken, the tournament director. She does run an efficient operation and I asked her about the possibility of deep stack events. She said they are coming soon to the Commerce, which is great. She also said this is the last year of the current chip set which I also applaud, because it protects the integrity of the game. Now if she could only help me get to a final table.

Tomorrow is another day. There is a limit event which I might play, and then a shootout on Friday. I guess its back to the cash games.
