Bay 101

Yesterday was crazy. I caught a 6am flight from Vegas to San Jose in order to play in a charity golf event, followed by Todd Brunson's charity poker tournament. The golf was fun but tough. It was windy and my foursome included Matt Savage, Layne Flack, and Kevin who is one of the supervisors at Bay 101. We also had Matt Waldron with our group who is a photographer and avid poker player who photographed the event. What they say about golf, that you win or lose on the first tee when the bets are made is true. As the match progressed, and I fell further behind to Savage, I could not help but feel hustled. Next time, and Matt if you are reading this, there will be a next time, we are playing even, and the lid is off!

Then it was off to Todd's charity event which was great. The people there were terrific to play with and although I didn't make the final table, it was a great event. A bunch of us, including Todd, Hoyt Corkins, Layne, Savage, Alan "Chainsaw" Kessler, Kathy Liebert, and several of the locals, went out afterwards for dinner. I then got to bed pretty early, between the little sleep the night before, the time change, and a 10:30 start today I was exhausted. Now it's off to play the 2k event at Bay 101.
