Golf with My Brother, WPT Borgata on GSN

So I am in NY City with my family, which is great. I played golf today with my younger brother Michael at Beth Page Black on Long Island. It hosted the US Open a couple of years ago and will be having it there next year as well, which adds to the allure of the course. I played relatively poorly, but my brother did okay. Last night was the premiere of the WPT show for Borgata which was really fun to watch, especially knowing the outcome. I did get lucky in one huge spot when I was heads up and Scott was all in with a better ace than mine and the board doubled paired for a chop pot.

It was almost surreal watching it. I did see about 100 things I hated in my game. I got an interesting email from the host of the APT event in Manila, inviting me to attend there event at the end of the month. I would have to miss the first WSOP event but it still sounds interesting. Matt Savage will be there as the tournament director, and just maybe I can get my money back from him on the golf course.

I am looking forward to setting up my new place in Las Vegas when I get back, which now looks like this weekend. I wanted to thank the readers of this blog for all the great emails I have received, and the one hate mail. I receive approximately 20-40 emails per day and I do try to answer all the questions. Since I started this blog in Australia at the beginning of the year I have almost what I would characterize as positive emails, although every now and then someone gets nasty and attacks me, but I guess I should expect that. I do have one reader who has sent me several emails that were particularly nasty, suggesting the world would be a better place if I killed myself, ironically he is a real estate developer from North Carolina, and perhaps today's real estate market is troubling to him, or maybe his mother didn't show him enough love as a child, or could it be that he was always chosen last for dodge ball? Whatever it is I would like to say to him, thanks and keep reading and helping me be one of the most widely read poker blogs. Also if there are topics you are interested in hearing about, let me know.
