Played the 1.5k PLO today and although I didn't cash I just missed. I felt like I played well, and put my chips in well at the end. I thought it was one of the better fields so far, and I guess I'm getting closer. A student of mine who plays locally at the Borgata, Roslyn Quarto, made the ladies final table and although she started extremely short stacked, finished 7th. She played well and got it in with QQ vs. AK at the end. Of course an ace fell and ended her bid for a bracelet. When I left for the night Mike Matusow was leading in the 2-7 no limit single draw. I am hoping he takes it down, although I heard he just lost a hand with a flush. Come on Mike you know better than that, it's a low ball game.

I am going to play the 5k NLH tomorrow and fell good about it. You start with 10k in chips and it's a pretty good structure. My good friend Jay Berger is coming out this weekend and I hope he will bring a change of luck for me. I am going on record saying, I am going deep in this 5k event. Maybe I should take the advice a golf coach of mine gave me and apply it to poker; "you need to take two months off and then give the game up!" Alright I'm not going that far, but winning a bracelet or two would give me an immediate attitude adjustment. I heard Ivey placed a whole lot of action on himself betting he would win a bracelet at this year's WSOP at 1.8 : 1.0. Although he is arguably the best all around player in the world, that's pretty cocky. I do think my odds are better than 2.5 : 1.0. Don't worry I'm just kidding. Well it's bedtime for Bonzo, more tomorrow.
