Still going

Well, the WSOP continues to be a challenge for me. At least I have started to get deep in the last few events I have played, but I'm frustrated to say the least. I feel like I'm playing well, but either I seem to go card dead and can't make anything happen or get coolered. My plan is keep playing, and I am hopeful that it will turn around. In the 2k no limit event I played right up until the end of the night, and with ten minutes to go in the first day, starting to get a little short on chips and get it all in with 10 10 vs. A J and an ace comes on the flop.

Today I will play the 1.5k no limit event and perhaps the PLO rebuy if I can manage both. The two players I spend most of my time here with are having similar frustration, Noah Schwartz and Zach Hyman. My long time friend Jay Berger is coming to town tomorrow night and maybe he will bring some luck. I am just going to continue my plan of tight solid poker and be patient.

I did play the Razz last night and made it to the 5th level and with the blinds getting bigger I was dealt A 3 4 and we get 4 bets in 3 ways. The next card is a 2 and I get 4 bets in 2 ways. My opponent has 6 9 up so I'm feeling pretty good, and the pot has more chips in it than an average stack. On the next card I get a seven for a smooth seven and he shows 6 9 4. We get three bets in which puts me all in. Now there is 1.5 time an average stack in the pot and he turns over A 5. I am a huge favorite and go A 9, and he gets J 2 and to the rail I go.

Anyway I'm off to the Rio, I hope to have better news to report.
