Getting Ready for the Main Event

Although the WSOP has been a little disappointing so far, I am ready for the main event. As of now I am playing tomorrow. I'm not really sure why, but I always like playing the first day of a multi start event. The cash games and satellites have been relatively good, so today I will play at the Rio and then hit Doyle's party later tonight. I might head over to the Bellagio and take a look at the beginning of their series.

Last night there was a great party and charity poker tournament at the Golden Nugget hosted by Phil Ivey. I haven't been in the Golden Nugget for several years and the pool area has been renovated and was great. The food and set up for the party was very well done. Full Tilt was one of the sponsors and put on one of the best fireworks displays I have ever seen. It lasted about 20 minutes, was timed to music, and really well done.
