Today begins the main event of the WSOP. There are 4 start days and I am going to play today, and then take the weekend off. I am excited about playing today and feel good about how I am playing. I am ready for the main event; I just hope it's ready for me.

I had a good day yesterday. I played a little at the Bellagio and was going to play the 2k but decided I wanted to play the WSOP today so I went back to the RIO and played pot limit Omaha. I made just enough for the main event buy in and decided to call it a day. Also I wanted to get to Doyle's party at Sapphire. What a good party it was, good people, open bar, live music, and lots of women. The bad news is I didn't stay long; I wanted to get to bed and be fresh for today. Also with July 4th being tomorrow, I have to think there will be plenty more parties coming. I know of at least one, Phil Gordon is having a big July 4th event which he does every year and everyone says is great.

I will be keeping track of key hands today and will be back tomorrow with the details of what transpired.
