I am in LA for a couple of days, working on the curriculum for the poker school and trying to get my book finished. I will play a little live action at The Commerce, and catch up with a few friends. I am trying to get my upcoming schedule finalized. New York City will be my next stop, then upstate NY with my brother and his family for a week of vacation.

My next live event will be at The Borgata for the $500k deep stack. The events at The Borgata are among the best run anywhere in the world and the poker room is well designed and comfortable. The event will be August 9-12th with a $2,150 buy in, 30,000 starting chips with the best structure anywhere. There will be two start days, August 9th and 10th and online registration is available. Last time they ran this event in the spring it sold out, so they added a second start day. They are running satellites Aug. 3rd and Aug. 8th. Then about a month later the WPT will be at Borgata. I am excited about that as well, and we will be launching a new poker school at The Borgata. It will focus on new players and beginners. It can be pretty intimidating walking into a poker room and playing for the first time. I still remember the first time I played poker in a casino, I had no idea what I was doing, I still feel like that some days. I will have more details in a few days.
