I Write Good English, Could Use an Editor Though

One item I would like to address, which I receive emails about on a daily basis is my grammar, or lack thereof. Let me start out by saying that if it were not for the red squiggly line from the spell checker I would have spelled grammar as grammer. During the WSOP I played with the guy that invented the spell checker, pretty cool guy and a gazillionaire to boot, anyway, I go to great lengths to try to provide my readers with interesting well conceived and yes, well written blogs with good content. The contents presented herein on this blog are purely the opinions of Roy Winston, and are not intended to reflect or promote the opinions of any other person, group, or entity. If you like what I write than thanks for reading, and if not well thanks anyway.

I write these first in Microsoft word and then copy and paste it into the blog on Card Player. I use the spell checker and grammar checker but hey I'm just a simple boy from Brooklyn New York, doing the best with what little I have. In the hope of generating a little sympathy I am also moderately dyslexic and have trouble picking up my errors when I proof read them. Card Player provides me with an editor for the Oracle's Corner in the magazine but not the blog. You should see how pathetic my hand writing is even now. In fact when I was in 4th or 5th grade I was in a remedial handwriting class after school. It was so bad I couldn't even forge my parent's signature to get out of stuff at school. Interestingly enough dyslexia was not really appreciated when I was in school and teachers and even my parents thought I just wasn't paying attention when I would write certain letters and numbers backwards. Truth be told, I probably wasn't paying enough attention but hey it was a legitimate learning disability, so throw me a bone here, how about a break?

Anyone interested in being my editor please let me know. I also have a book I'm finishing, god help the poor soul that has to edit that. I do need to find someone to help with that so if you or someone you know is good at that sort of thing, please contact me at the email address below. I am also looking for a literary agent for the book. All I have to do now is finish it. Don't worry it is not another how to win at poker book. It's more like Forrest Gump meets John Glenn, maybe I'll call it "The Wrong Stuff." All kidding aside, or most anyway, it's the story of the last couple of years of my life, playing poker professionally, the life , the people, the events, my trials and tribulations, successes and failures, ups and downs, marriage and divorce, Ying and Jerry Yang, well you get the picture.
