I am in Las Vegas this weekend spending time with Dennis Phillips who as I am sure most of you know is the chip leader at the World Series of Poker main event final table. Play will resume on November 9th and I am one of the team of people he has assembled to help prepare him for the big day.

A group of us went over to the new poker room at Hard Rock and I have to say it is one of the best poker rooms I have seen. It is well designed, spacious, and has a great feel. I wouldn't be surprised if the poker room at Hard Rock becomes the place to play in Las Vegas. The Director of Operations, Houston Waldie, has assembled a great staff and has put together some interesting programs. He is running a poker league, where teams of four compete on a regular basis. I think it's a great format and a fun event. They also have a back semi-private area where you can have anything from your regular "home game" to a bachelor party. It's great to see a new place like this that hit the market, they have really done things right.

We played a little no limit at Hard Rock with our group which included Dennis Phillips, Joe McGowan, and Pam Brunson who was celebrating her birthday. Today we are heading over to Card Player to do some media stuff. I am going to do a live call in show later today.

On Sunday I'm off to Borgata and I can't wait. I will play a few of the preliminary events and of course the main event.
