St Louis for the Weekby Roy Winston | Published: Sep 24, '08 |
We got into St Louis and are staying at the newly opened Lumiere casino. It is really a great facility and the poker room is in love with Dennis, and why not, he is the local hero. They have an interesting loss limit rule here in Missouri where you can only buy $500 of chips every two hours. The poker room staff has been very accommodating, and the room itself is well designed, spacious and comfortable. We are going to be spending the week in St Louis doing some prep work then it's off to London for Dennis and Joe. Dennis will be playing in the EPT there.
Today we played some with a bunch of Dennis's local poker group. It was a good night and although I was really tired I did play a little short handed PLO, which was a good time, at least for me.
This morning we went to the St Louis Arch and took the tram to the top. It was a great view of the city and it was pretty cool. I have enjoyed getting to know St Louis.
I am here until the weekend then back to NY for a family function, then off to Vegas. I will be filming an episode of Stargate Atlantis in Vegas at the end of the month. Although I have done a fair number of talk shows over the years, it will be my first TV series. I'm sure my part is going to be very small, but who knows, I could be discovered and on my way to yet another career (for those of you who like to post on the various forums keep in mind that the preceding sentence is meant to be sarcastic).
