Day two began well enough, with a good table draw. Tim West was the most solid player at the table, but he was short on chips. He and I seem to be at a lot of tables together and I have found him to be quite a nice guy. There was a wild local at the table who was the deep stack and got out of the gate early, flopping three sets in the first level. He got to 140k in chips before he began to self destruct. He played like a Gus or Dario, except he lacked the skill set. He would open almost every unopened pot that came to him and would three bet many opening raises, and then show 6 8 off suit. I re-raised him a couple of times and he folded. He then bluffed off most of his chips to a tight player who called him down with second pair. I managed to get a few, but not the wind fall double up. A new player with double average chips joined our table on my right. It was folded around to him in the small blind and he completed and I checked from the big blind with J 9. The flop came J 9 4 and he checked. I bet 3,000 into a 5k pot and he then raised 20k. I thought for a minute and he didn't appear that strong and I was pretty sure I was ahead. After calling the raise I would be left with 40k so I moved all in. He seemed surprised and tanked for quite a while, he then said "I think you might have two pair but I'm going to call anyway because I have outs." He tables K J and seems surprised by my top two. Wouldn't you know it a king comes on the turn and I'm gone. I loved the call but do they have to hit their 3 outer? I felt I played well, and Beatrice from the WPT consoled me while I used her computer in the lobby to book my flight home. Tournament poker can really make you crazy.

I am trying to decide what to play next, Bellagio, Caesar's, or Borgata and Mohegan Sun. Then I will be in Vegas for the WSOP final table. I am extremely interested in the effect the long delay will have on the outcome. I will however reserve judgment until it's over. I am beginning to think about Aussie Millions, which has me excited. I am planning a longer trip this time and would like to explore more of Australia. I am looking forward to some SCUBA diving and time to relax.
