I played the Caesar's main event yesterday and initially things went pretty well. At my first table, which was the first one to break, Grinder and I mixed it up in several hands. I was just getting use to the table when it broke and I got moved. Grinder moved to the same table. We were then the calm ones at the table thanks to Carter who I haven't played with before, as he played super loose and aggressively. He quickly knocked out several players and became the chip leader. Grinder and he battled in almost half the hands played. I eventually succumbed to him when I raise on the button with AJ suited in an unopened pot to 6k with the blinds 1k 2k and the antes 300. He smooth calls and the flop come K K J. He checked to me and I bet 16k and he called. The turn brought another Jack and he bet 31k, and I moved in. Of course he had pocket kings. He had been floating flops and leading the turn showing hands like 2 4 off-suit all day.

I am not going to Foxwoods and the next main event for me will be Bellagio in December. In the mean time I will be back playing in Vegas at Dennis Phillips Chip Leader Challenge. This will take place at the Hard Rock on December 7th. I will go over it in detail in the next blog.
I also wanted to mention a very worthy charity event being hosted by Dan and Beth Shak. It is going to take place at the Mandarin Oriental in NY City on November 12th at 7pm. All proceeds are going to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. You can go to www.allinforkids.com for more information.
