Getting Ready for Vegas

It's a rainy Saturday morning in New York City, and I'm getting ready to head out to Vegas for the Bellagio event. I feel like I've been away for too long. I am really looking forward to the WPT championship and all the action leading up to it.

I just made plans to play in the Mohegan Sun's spring showdown series from April 26th through the 30th. This will be my first time there, but I have heard good things about their new poker room. After that I'm trying to decide about the rest of May, perhaps the WSOP circuit in New Orleans. I like to take it easy in May and be ready for the WSOP, but I'm sure I will play something here or there.

I have been busy playing on Full Tilt, mostly small stuff, but I really enjoy the play. Since joining Full Tilt I have played more than a million hands, which to the online regulars is nothing, but to me, a relatively new online player, seems like a lot, and I find it very interesting, particularly when you go back and look at your hand history and try and learn from it.

Roy Winston finished 16th in 2007 Card Player, Player of the Year race. He won the WPT Borgata Poker Open and finished the year with well over $2 million in tournament poker winnings. Roy plays online exclusively at Full Tilt. For more information on Roy Winston, you can visit his website: www.oraclepoker.net or send an email to: [email protected] with your questions or comments.
