FTOP's, The WSOP, and Borgata

I have been playing online a lot lately and am ready for the FTOPS, which is now underway on Full Tilt. I think it’s good timing with the WSOP just around the corner, so I can relax at home and not travel until the end of the month. I am going to Borgata to play the upcoming deep stack on the 17th. I miss live action cash games, so I will get a good dose of that over the weekend and start on the second start day of the event on Monday.

I was doing well in the pot limit Omaha FTOP’s about half way through the field, with double average chips, I picked up 10 10 J 9 on the button. It was 6 handed and there was a limper, I raised the pot and the big blind and the early position limper both call. The flop comes 10 4 2 with 3 hearts. Top set is good, but in PLO someone always seems to have a 7 high flush that they beat you with, so I am cautious. The early position player bets half pot and we both call. The turn brings a 4, which gives me top full house. The big blind opens for half the pot and the other player calls. I want to get as many chips as possible in at this time, so I raise the pot, which puts the other guys all in, leaving me a few chips behind. Both players call and the first shows the nut flush, and of course the other guy has 44 in his hand for quads. It wouldn’t have been so bad but he called a full pot with something like J 2 4 4 pre-flop, I guess I love the action, but do they always have to get there? I didn’t last long after that, got it all in with KKJQ, but I was dominated by AA. I am ready to fight again today,

I am trying to plan my WSOP schedule and at least a rough idea of which events I want to play. When I look at the list, I kind of want to play them all. I will take a couple of small breaks during the series and hop to San Diego and LA to visit friends and relax to avoid burn out. I do get a little stir crazy in Las Vegas during the summer when in the heat and the casino’s for such an extended period of time, but still I can’t wait.

Got to get back to playing online.
