Off to Borgata

It’s now only 12 days until I leave for the WSOP, which I’m really looking forward to. It is a beautiful morning here in New York City and I am heading out to Borgata tomorrow for a $1,650 deep stack event with a $500,000 guarantee. They are having two first start days one on Sunday and then again on Monday, I will play the latter. The cash games should be good and that’s how I will occupy my time on Saturday and Sunday. I have said it before and I will keep saying it, in Atlantic City, or anywhere East of The Commerce, the Borgata is the King of Poker, with a great facility and a great tournament staff. Most of you are probably saying “hey what about Vegas” and yes Vegas has some great rooms with plenty of action, but the Borgata’s poker facility is better. Maybe I’m just a little prejudiced because I have done well there, but it is really nice.

Tonight I’m headed out with my younger brother Michael. I am going to meet him at his new Wall Street watch store Tourbillon. I might have to get a new watch while I’m there, I hope they have a good family discount program.

I was hoping to see Annie Duke win the apprentice show, although to be honest I think Donald Trump is a buffoon, and the show should be called the biggest loser, or I guess they already have that show, but anyway it would have been nice to see one of our own win.
