Headed to Europe, Missing The East Coast Poker Championship

I gave my talk at Cornell, which went very well. I talked a little bit about game theory and then switched to poker/life. It was a great time, beginning with a dinner at the home of the professor in residence who invited me. He and I were undergraduates together at The University of Pennsylvania and although we lost contact, poker brought us back together. He was one of the world’s experts on Near Eastern Studies and sitting and talking with him about current and historic events was really great. I have to say when around experts of this level it is humbling. I hope I get an invitation back.

I am very disappointed that I am missing The Borgata High Roller event, which they are calling The East Coast Championship. I am headed to Europe to vacation and play in San Remo. Borgata has added a high roller event at $7,500 which may not be the 25k high roller we see at some events but should produce a good field and with a $500,000 guarantee I am sure it will be solid. Here are the details:

East Coast Championship Event
April 13 – 15
$7,200 + $300
$500,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
