Rough Week, Hosting FTOP's Sunday

I have had an interesting last week. After my weekend at The Borgata, where I lost KK four times over about 4 levels and finally busted when I ran into AA the last time. So I’m driving home the next day, which is this past Monday and my mother tells me that my father has been having some chest pain and went for a stress test. The test showed some EKG changes.

Now my previous life as an anesthesiologist came rushing back to me. I realized dad would need a cardiac catheterization asap. He seemed to feel it could wait. New onset chest pain and a failed stress chest is by definition unstable angina which is a call to action. After a little more chest pain and an admission to the hospital, catheterization, followed by open heart surgery on Wednesday.

He has done extremely well and is scheduled to go home early this week. There is nothing like a major family health scare to put things into perspective. Although I feel like I’ve been getting unlucky in big situations at the poker table, I would have to say that to have this week go so well for my father is worth every last drop of my poker luck.

On a lighter note I am hosting this Sundays FTOP’s event on Full Tilt. It’s a $240 buy in knock out tournament with a $750,000 guarantee. It begins at 2pm East Coast time, hope to see you there.
