Chasing The Dream

I just got the confirmation for my upcoming trip to Cyprus for the next WPT event. Layne Flack and I are traveling together. He’s coming to NY early next week and we will play a little golf and may play in some local games. It has been a while since Layne and I hung out together and I’m really looking forward to it. He has been a good friend since we first met across a poker table and he has helped me with my game on multiple occasions. Layne has had some challenges over the years but as far as being a great friend, excellent poker player, and a truly good person, he is beyond reproach.

After 8 days in Cyprus we are most likely heading to the sports legend challenge in the Bahamas, followed by what I think will be the second best event of the year, next to the WSOP main event, The Borgata WPT $3,500 main event. Which begins on September 19th.

One thing that has helped me immeasurably is a solid group of friends that are good players whom I can talk poker with. Discussing different ways to play various situations and to have someone watch you play to help clean up your physical game is indispensible.

I will provide updates on the adventures of Layne and me as we travel the poker circuit and chase the dream.
