After two tournaments in Europe along with filming five instructional videos for iAmplify, I am ready for a break. Along with tournaments, cash games, golf, and my duties at Doylesroom I haven't had a real vacation in three years. I haven't even had time to go to Montana where I have a great home on Flathead Lake.

The next tournament is about a month away and I am going to relax and make a concerted effort to play my best poker in the Five Diamond at the Bellagio. Of course, because it has my name on the final event, I am going to play a special tournament. This is a favorite event for almost all of the pros and I expect there will be a record turnout. As I watched Dancing With The Stars last night, the guests talked about how you have to have the will to win and I think I have lost a little of that because of all the activities I have outside of poker. So, I am determined to get that drive back. I have always said that it was imperative for the top poker pros to have the burning desire to win.

Speaking of Dancing With The Stars, how could anyone win but Mel B, the spice Girl? It is a great program…very entertaining.

The founding father of the World Poker tour, Lyle Berman, is in town for the Gaming Show and I am going to play some high stakes poker for the next two days. Then, I am on my way to Montana for a week of boating, fishing, and just hanging out. Look out for me at the Five Diamond Tournament at the Bellagio! -DB
