DOYLEISM OF THE DAY: “Income tax has made more liars than golf.”

The latest member of the Brunson 10 is Steve Gross. Steve is a well known and respected poker player who was the online player of the year last year. He is also leading the field in the same category for 2010. Steve is a class act and joins Zach Clark, Alex Kamberis, Amit Makhija, Dani Stern and Chris Moorman for six of the Brunson 10. Four more to go and it will be after this year’s WSOP before DoylesRoom.com signs anyone else. My grandson Jeff lives on a mountain in northern Montana. There are all kinds of wildlife there including bears, wolves, mountain lions and coyotes. Jeff’s dog Cash was caught outside by a pack of coyotes and killed. Cash was a big lab but he had no chance against a pack of wild animals. It’s hard to lose a pet for any reason but it’s really tough to lose one like that. I know if they got one of my pets, it would be open season on coyotes. Thank goodness for the NCAA Basketball playoffs. March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year. There are 64 teams playing 16 games on Thursday and 16 games on Friday. The winners play 8 games Saturday and 8 games Sunday, then they rest until the next Thursday. I have always had success taking all the underdogs the 1st round and this year was no exception as I won 8 bets. It seems the linemakers don’t know the correct favorites in some of the games. I’ve never seen so many young good players. I think Kentucky is going to win the tournament. My wife Louise gets a severe case of asthma caused by her allergies from pollen every spring. She has to leave and goes to Hawaii where she has a small apartment. Thelma, our housekeeper for the past 10 years, had never been to Hawaii so Louise took her for a week’s vacation. Do you suppose Thelma and Louise went for a little ‘ol ride? :) -DB
