Nevada's Neck Tattoo

I just read the part of Danny’s blog regarding the Andrew Roble controversy and agree with him that he and Tony wound up inadvertently doing Andrew a big favor by boosting his name recognition and respect as a professional. If it is an optional straddle it is wise to decline to increase the volatility of the game, its not like he was encouraging others to straddle with the relatively small stacks. If the straddle is better for the game officially change the structure and make it mandatory.

Last night I had dinner with a very good friend who told me he supports Sharon Angle over Harry Reid in the Nevada senate race because Reid was a liar and a crook and he wanted change.

Reid is a politician so odds are he may well be a liar and crook, most are.

To say you will vote for Angle though is like a teenager who wants to be rebellious and gets a neck tattoo. Harry reid is one of the most powerful senators while Sharon Angle will be the least powerful who will not be taken seriously and won’t be able to help get Nevada out of desperate times. She is a religious fanatic, whose main agenda will be along those lines.

Even if things are bad change is not always for the better. Revolution is not always good, look at the Russian and Iranian revolutions, they didn’t improve things much.

It’s not wise to try to punish someone by hurting yourself even worse.

On a last note I watched president Obama on the daily show and share his frustration that people expect him to effect change over night. Long lasting change for, the better, will obviously take time. I believe he is doing the best he can given the circumstances and system in place.
