Poker Fantasy

I made it through to day two of the $1k rebuy event with about 80,000.

Yesterdays play was like a poker fanatsy campers dream as I went from a table with Allen Cunningham, Phil Helmuth, and Johnny Chan into one where I had Danny Negreanu imediately on my left and Phil Ivey a couple players behind him. This of course was not my dream situation and I was very happy to see the day come to a close while my chips were pretty much at there peak after I flopped the nut straight with 10-8 on 6-9-7 flop in a pot with Ivey and Negreanu and more than doubled up.

Hellmuth statement of the day…A kid challenged him to play HU for $100,000(joking probably) and Phil said he would have to charge him $20,000 for his time while he played him.

The hand I menitioned earlier happened last hand before dinner break where I raised a player $8k on the turn with a set of sixes. They asked how much I had left so I counted another $18k. He added the figure together and said so $26K I call and whipped over an over pair of queens. I pointed out that I only bet $8k and was thinking his mistake may have well cost me $18k. River blanked and he was first to act so I said "I guess your checking?" nope he went all-in , with 0% chance of getting called by a worse hand or getting a better hand to fold. So everything worked out as it should have and is still nice to know that you can run into plays like this. Only regret was Hellmuth had already left for dinner and I didn't get to see his reaction.

Well I am going to try to grab a couple more hours sleep before we restart at 2pm.
