Total disrespect

A few people who read my last blog have asked how angry Timmi was at me for comparing her to Sarah Palin and why I would do that when I detest Sarah Palin. Well, she isn't mad about it at all and I don't have anything against Sarah Palin on a personal level.

I am sure most of you have been in a big tournament or cash game when a cute girl gets in the box, can barely shuffle or pitch the cards, screws up the antes, takes plenty of time pushing up the cards on the board to read the hands but rarely pushes the pots to the correct player and god help her if they throw her a curve ball and she has to deal any game other than holdem. I don't hate or even get mad at this dealer. I get mad at the person who didn't have enough respect for the game of poker or the players to make sure that the person they are putting in the box is up to the job and isn't going to totally ruin the game. It could be an ugly guy too, just more often a cute girl.

So, allthough I cant stand the idea of Palin being a heartbeat away from being president, it is the people who gave her the job that I really detest. They are showing complete disrespect for the country and the system. There is no way she is remotely qualified. This is however a much more serious issue than ruining a poker game.

Would you like someone getting in the box to deal to you that the day before had been working in the gift shop and when you asked if she ever wanted to deal, replied "First you have to answer for me, exactly what a dealer does", and then imagine that they say, "Oh, and by the way if the tournament director isn't available she will be taking over for him". You can't fault her for taking the job that may pay five times what she's now making, you blame the person doing the hiring.

It is very ironic that a candidate who was running on a "country first" slogan would put not only our country but the whole world in danger with such a cheap and disrespectful tactic to try and sway voters he obviously views as idiots.

I really still can't get a grip what they were thinking. Whatever the line of thought, this decision shows lack of judgement and character that I think a dealer coordinator requires, not to mention a president.

Oh, and the comparison was mostly in regards to them both believing god directs there lives and that the second comming is just around the corner. I think they are both smart, but uninterested and uninformed in world politics, economics and many other issues important to a president.
