Hey everyone, whats goin on?

I wanted to write a blog on the honeymoon because I had never been out of the country really before…Mexico was interesting…the resort was absolutely amazing and we had a great time. The staff was really nice and spoke English pretty much better than I would have thought. We spent most of our time at the resort with the beautiful really blue water, the pool, the restaurants and our nice room that we had with our own pool. They had alot of daily activities…and of course the all inclusive food and drinks that we took full advantage of. The shows at night were really cool…with a band…a marriage show…American Idol and a few others. We left the resort for the first time to go swim with the dolphins which I had never done and it was just awesome…I would recommend it to anyone. They are unbelievably smart and we just had a great time there. One thing that was kind of eye opening to me was traveling from the resort to the dolphins, we saw how Mexico is…and it looks rough…way different than anything I have ever seen…like what I would consider some sort of projects but worse…I really felt bad. There was spray paint on every building…grass grown in everywhere…small like shed style houses back in the woods with people living in them…just shocking how these people live…we even saw a lady holding like a 2 yr old that was sleeping under the bridge in like 95 degree weather asking for change. One other thing that shocked me and doesnt happen in the states is that there was just a jeep like truck with 6 soldiers driving down the street armed with machine guns. It really was sad to see these things but I guess that is how it is…makes me even more grateful to live in the U.S….as long as its a free country that is…but not going there…

Ok so I made my ESPN Televised debut this wk…the first hand was like a quick 2 seconds and a fold on the river in a hand w Johnny Chan that was a real small pot…I was curious and hoping that they didnt just show this hand. So a little while later they showed the 99 vs AK hand in which we played a semi-big pot at the end of Day 3…might of been the 2nd to last hand of the day. I was hoping they would show us at the end of the day bagging chips when they interviewed both of us and Chan was saying that he was glad he wouldnt have to play with me anymore and that he couldnt beat me all day…but they cut that part out as they showed him saying “I dont know where I got all these chips.” O well…it was exciting to finally make TV…and I was happy with what my buddy Norman Chad said…it was entertaining…and can’t wait to see what he says the next few wks…I believe I will be on this wk on the bubble…we shall see…it is really interesting not knowing what they are gonna show.

Borgata! O how I love thee…My home…glad to be here even though I am already 0 for 3 and took some nasty beats in Events 1 and 2. I just love everything about the Borgata and the tourneys here…Tab/Deb/Ray and the staff just do an amazing job and its like really home here…being friends with all of them and just having all my other friends around all trip makes it alot of fun. Event 1 I lost a hand w top 2 pair against just top pair and then built my stack back up to 40 big blinds only to lose to a guy who decided to put 40 BB in with AJ and beat my JJ…gg event 1…Second event wasnt any better as I managed to lose with one of those hands that just shouldn’t be allowed to happen in a tourney but does all the time…All in pre flop with AQ against AQ and I bust…fun stuff….Onto event 3 which I just busted an hour or two ago…I bluffed off half my stack and got real short and busted so atleast I didn’t take a beat in this one…Event 4 tomorrow…$1k…excited and ready!

WCOOP is also going on and I am certainly trying to play when I bust a Borgata event and definately am playing on Sunday while watching football…which I couldn’t be more excited about the season…I live for fantasy football and survivor pools and pick em pools. Sunday will be a lot of fun.

I just wanna thank all of you for reading my blogs when I post them and for following me on twitter (@jbrikis) and facebook…It is really cool when someone at the table says they read the blogs…Just met another today…Whats up Jeremy…you played well…and gl to you…nice meeting you. Thanks everyone…and I will write another from Borgata or after the main event.
