Rich, famous, setting records and happy…What you gonna spend your money on? How about setting your father up in the Presidential Suite at the Radisson in Aruba for 8 days? It was an amazing night that we celebrated my dad's 70th birthday on (Sept 20). Dom in the suite, an Amazonian steak house, and a fantastic atmosphere-we even made him eat part of his cake under the table. In our family, you cannot talk after you take a bite of your cake, or you finish it under the table. We let him out after he finished three bites as it was his 70th!!! After four days with my kids in tow, they had to head back to school, as did my sister Molly (the one with bracelet number 11 in her clutches in Manhattan) and her boyfriend Arthur, and my brother Dave and his girlfriend Tammy. My parents I stayed on for three more days, and my wife finally left Friday the 28th. Now I'm here with the UltimateBet.com tournament, which will have over 500 players this year! Not bad, especially considering that the Turks and Caicos, a WPT event no less, had under 150 players. One highlight, other than my dad's amazing birthday, was the night that they shot off fireworks. On this night, I was visiting my dad in the Penthouse suite watching football (Monday night I think)-just the two of us--when they let off the fireworks, and "SLAM" it sounded like mortar or gunfire. They were set off right outside the suite, and we went out on the balcony to watch, man what a view! All of the family, vacationing, and celebrating made for a memorable week.
