Erick "EDOG" Lindgren won his first bracelet! Well done sir, everyone in the poker world loves you kid! Meanwhile, I played some poor poker on Wednesday, which was day two of the no limit Hold'em rebuy tournament. I lost my patience, and played too many hands, when a patient strategy would have yielded my first WSOP cash, and broke another record for me. It would have been my 67th cash, which would have extended my record. On Thursday there was a miscommunication between me and the WSOP and they didn't sign me up for the noon Hold'em tournament. Oh well, I was sick Wednesday night anyway, and a day off was probably what the doctor ordered. Instead I wrote an article, hit the pool for some sun, chilled in my room for a few hours, and then I met EDOG and a few of his friends at the 40-40 Club to watch the Lakers/Celtics game, which was a good one. Afterwards, we played high stakes craps and blackjack, and then we went bowling at the Rio Hotel, where I won $2,500 against EDOG (I shot 144 and 149 which are great scores for me!). I knew that Jay Z was at the 40-40 Club and I didn't say hello, which was stupid, because I could have invited him to play in a few WSOP tournaments, and I could have given him a quick lesson to help him. It is 11:00 am Friday here in Vegas (the first time I've been up before noon this trip!) and my USA Today article is out, and I'm heading over to the Rio to play the $5,000 no limit Hold'em shootout.
