I only say "Unofficial" because we missed some of the player's final tables"Card Player" Player of the Year Eric Baldwin should have been up there somewhere in the top 40, I thinkAlthough many of his finishes did not count on my award, he did have a first and a third at the WSOP

I landed in Vegas in the early afternoon on Dec 30 with my wife and sons, and I have never seen McCarran airport that crowded!  I have been going to Vegas for over 25 years, but I am never there on New Year's Eve.  Maybe it is always like that in Vegas on New Year's Eve?  The casinos were packed, and the traffic was horrendous.  At around 5:00 pm my wife, my two sons and two of my sons friends, and I headed to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to hit the VIP party for the WMMA Awards (World Mixed Martial Arts).  After the party ended, I was to present an award for "Best MMA Brand," live on Versus Network (television).  The party included a red carpet, and it was really well done.  There are some pics up on the web of Tiffany Michelle and I walking the red carpet together.  By the way, I love the new "Joint" theatre at the Hard Rock!  My sons are MMA fans and they were happy to meet Tito Ortiz, the star of new movie "The Blind Side," and a few of the other fighters.  Here is a link to a cool little video that I shot backstage (I could have done better with this video, but it isn't too bad): http://twitvid.com/1DC55

I presented with Xscience model Amber Nicole, and we had a cute sketch!  She says, "I bought my husband MMA branded socks, underwear, shirts, and shorts."  Then I lean into the microphone and I slowly say, "Honestly, I stopped listening to you when you said the word 'husband!'"

There was a nice "After party" at "Wasted Space" and I partied with my wife, Erica Shoenberg (twitter name: @thehitwoman), @katelinds @tiffnymichelle @Lara_miller and @mattiseman   There certainly were some beautiful women in my group!!  Then there's Matt Iseman, who is the host of "Sports Soup" on "Versus Network," and I believe that Matt will make it big time!   Matt has charisma, he is sharp, and he is very very funny.  Check out Matt's show and the newly posted end of the year clips [and you'll even see one with Annie Duke and I.]  I grabbed a booth for us at "Wasted Space" and we drank vodka (my drink this night was Belvedere and diet seven up no caffeine and no sugar!).

The next day was New Year's Eve, and at around 4:00 pm the kids went to play video games, and catch the show "Ka" at the "MGM Grand Hotel."  Then the kids came back to the Golden Nugget and hung out in my mega-suite, ordering room service, and watching movies.  Meanwhile the adults (my wife, and our bay area friends Heidi and Rob) started with a great meal at 6:30 at "Vic & Anthony's Steak House" at the Golden Nugget.  Then we attended a VIP party at the Golden Nugget where we met the new commander of the International Space Station, who expressed interest in me getting him some Texas Hold'em software so that he could play a match with his crew up in space.  Talk about playing in a nose bleed sized poker game!  I am going to send him some software options for sure!

Then we were off to the new nightclub "Eve" at the brand new "Aria Hotel" at City Center to party with Eva and Tony Parker.  As we walked into Aria, the security guard asked me to walk over to the check in area to pick up my passes, and I stalled for a long second hoping to avoid walking over there, and just then Eva came walking in, and Eva had her people usher us right through to her table in the club "Eve."  I must say that "Beso" (Eva's new restaurant at Aria) and "Eve" are perfectly well done, and they both look amazing!  Security walked us to our table, and there were actually four booths in the VIP section.  I chose the one in the front left hand side (as you look from the dance floor), and after 25 minutes Mario Lopez joined us with some of his family.  Then 10 minutes later Eva and Tony came up and sat down between Mario and I.  Tons of people want my picture, but never like this!  The camera flashes on Eva and Tony were non-stop for like 30 minutes!  It was like bright disco lights were flashing on directly on us.  Finally, Eva and Tony moved to the booth behind us where they couldn't be photographed anymore.

Mario seems like a really nice guy, and I enjoyed talking with him.  He said he hosts "Extra" like every single day.  Michael Strahan came over and chatted with Mario and I for awhile.  Strahan is another guy who to told me that he is committed to being himself, and he was also down to earth, and he really did seem like a great guy.  We had a great time, then we headed out to Scott Ian and Jerry Cantrell's new club "Dead Man's Hand" at 1:30 am to say hello. We just missed Meatloaf high jacking the stage when Scott Ian (Anthrax), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Pete Wentz (Fall out Boy), Vinny Paul (Hell yeah!) were rocking out!  Too bad we missed it; that must have quite a site!

We flew home on the January 1, and I have been watching way too much football, NCIS, Cold Case, and other television shows!  Tonight (Wednesday) I almost flew to L. A. to sit in L. A. Lakers owner Jerry Buss's box and watch my favorite NBA team play some ball.  The plan was to catch tonight's game, and then catch the National Championship game tomorrow between Alabama and Texas.  But Erick "EDOG" Lindgren and Mike "The mouth" Matusow couldn't make it.

On Saturday night I head to Vegas where I give a $25,000 poker lesson (for 5 hours) on Sunday, and then the guys I'm giving the lessons too will play me heads up for $10,000.  I like their style!  They aren't afraid to play me at no limit Hold'em, and I guess that I will have to buy the first bottle of Dom P.  I mean, how can I not go out drinking with these guys?  Next Thursday (Jan 14), I am hosting a pre-party in L. A. for the "Julep Ball" (this year I am the host of the Julep Ball, which is a black tie party at the Derby).

Check out the invitation to Denny Crum, Robert Williamson, and my charity event at the Kentucky Derby 2010:
