My Irish Winter Festival Disappointment

I’m very disappointed how the Irish Winter Festival ended for me. I had a great day one, amassing a stack of 80,000 in chips going into day two. Day two started great and through four and half levels I had 150,000 barely going to showdown. I ended up busting in 46th place with 36th paid. I’ m still too annoyed about how I played to bust to report on the hands right now, but I will do later in the week.

I learnt alot though. When I lose a pot when the momentum had previously been with me I don’t deal with it well. I don’t slow down and tighten up. This happened this weekend and I need to learn to deal with it better.

I must say it was a fantastically run tournament with a real ‘fun’ aspect to it. I look forward to next year.

Travel wise i’m heading to Malta in a week or so, theres three events i’m gonna play out there with 1k, 1.5k and 2k buy ins. Its supposed to be a cool place and i’d imagine the events will be quite soft so im looking forward to that.
