So now that I'm back on the grind at AP/UB (my former home), I've decided to spice it up a little bit.

Approximately 5-6 years ago when I was only playing on AP, I used to win the leaderboard quite often. If I didn't win it, I was always close. I want to give it a try for the month of April and I figured the best way to do so was to drum up a little side action. I announced that I would be doing a straight-up even money prop bet on the Tournament Poker Edge forum to win the tournament leaderboard on AP/UB for the month of April.

This is just a way to add a little excitement and to stay motivated for the next 30 days. The Tournament Poker Edge community has been really receptive to this, and I took a fair amount of action. We are 5 days in, and it has honestly been a tough grind. So far, I haven't really hit anything big. I won the $15 rebuy today and I got 4th in the $50 rebuy last night, but I haven't had the huge hit as of yet which is what I will need to pull this off. I see that the AP regulars are up there near the top of the leaderboard, so I'm thinking this is not going to be a cake walk.

I almost didn't play on Monday, because I played so late Sunday as I was quite deep in a few majors. I almost pulled off something pretty epic when I went deep in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl. I ended up chopping 5-ways for $167K. It was a huge field because it was part of their triple guarantees day. This made their other major of the day which was usually a $750K, into a $2.25 Million guarantee with roughly 15000 runners! Here is where I almost did something epic, after chopping the Brawl, I went deep in this tourny as well. I ended up falling a little short though, and finished in 22nd place. This was still a pretty good run, but I realize that I missed my chance at truly epic.

So, now I am back on the grind for the TLB. I will be going very hard at it during this month in hopes that I may win this thing! You can expect that I will try the best I can to not fall completely on my face. However, if I do manage to blow this and not even come close, It will not be the first time that I have bitten off more then I can chew. I'll just blame it on the fact I'm getting to old, or I'll come up with something in my own mind to make me feel better.

Hope to see you all on the felts.  GL!
