Back to Back

After a bit of downtime, it has felt great to get back on the MTT grind.  I came back with a bang!  On October 16th I took second in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $45,000 and then on October 23rd I shipped the PokerStars Sunday Warmup for another $106,000.  Always nice to ship back to back big scores like that.

In other news, I am really excited about the upcoming arrival of my baby, who I like to refer to as “littledogpckt5s”.  He should be here within the next week to ten days, and I could not be more stoked about it!

I’m also really excited about all the stuff we have going on at Tournament Poker Edge.  We recently added a bunch of new pros including Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah, Daryl “aaaaaaaaa” Jace, Brendon “brendooor” Rubie as well as fellow Lock Pro Marc Alioto.  We also recently did a series of podcasts analyzing some hands from the World Series of Poker final table.  You can check that out at http://www.tournamentpokeredge.com/podcasts or download them on iTunes.  On the podcasts, we also have a pretty good discussion about the positives and negatives of the 15 minute delay.  Check it out.

With that, I am going to get back to the grind!

See you on the felt!

Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek is widely considered to be one of the best online players in the world. The Canadian pro got his start after an accident on the baseball field left him laid up in bed. With nothing else to do, Jarzabek deposited some money online and hasn’t looked back.

In the years since, Jarzabek has racked up over $2.5 million in tournament earnings and spent both 2009 and 2010 as a contender for Card Player Online Player of the Year honors. Jarzabek is also the lead pro at TournamentPokerEdge.com, which features poker training from some of the best minds in the game.
