Business as Usual

Despite the recent changes in the poker landscape, it’s business as usual for the bigdog.  I was able to take 2nd recently in the Poker Stars Sunday 500 for $42K and then a few days later took 2nd in FTOPS #31 for almost $11K. Along with a few other decent sized scores it was a good April overall.

SCOOP is now in full swing, and I’m looking forward to closing out May in strong fashion before heading to Las Vegas for the 2011 World Series of Poker.  Myself and the rest of the crew from Tournament Poker Edge have a house together and it’s going to be a fun summer.  I plan to play a ton of WSOP events as well as some events over at the Venetian Deep Stack series.

Some people have asked what “Black Friday” means for Tournament Poker Edge.  We are as committed as ever to being the best tournament training site on the market.  We’ve added some new pros and are working on new content that, among other things, will help our members adjust to the live scene.

So if you have not already done so, head on over to www.tournamentpokeredge.com and see what we have going on.  And if you see me in Vegas say “hello” but don’t be raising my blinds!

Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek is widely considered to be one of the best online players in the world. The Canadian pro got his start after an accident on the baseball field left him laid up in bed. With nothing else to do, Jarzabek deposited some money online and hasn’t looked back.

In the years since, Jarzabek has racked up over $2.5 million in tournament earnings and spent both 2009 and 2010 as a contender for Card Player Online Player of the Year honors. Jarzabek is also the lead pro at TournamentPokerEdge.com, which features poker training from some of the best minds in the game.
