Eh. Out of the 1500 in 73rd place. I received like 7600 for my efforts, but I left the Rio and haven't picked it up because the line to get paid was ridiculously long. I actually entered the day above average. I miscalculated the average starting stack, so I was slightly above average not below average. Early I was playing well but then raised a limper on the button with A6o and lost some chips when he moved in on me. I was very card dead and blinded all the way down to 31800 when a key hand came up. A kid who just got moved to the table raised to 9000 at 1500/3000 (400) in the cutoff. I looked down at the Ad on the button. I moved in over the top. The BB then moved AI over the top for 100000. The young guy folded and the BB showed AKo. I sweated my other card and was hoping to see one of the two remaining Aces or three remaining kings. Unfortunately, I had the 2h with it. The flop came a magical 345 though and I flopped the wheel and held against the chop. I was up to 79800 at this point which was slightly above average as we took a break with 130 players left. Later, it was my turn to get unlucky. A guy moved in for 23500 in EP at 2/4000 (500) and I moved in for 69000 on the button with JsJh. The others folded and he showed me K8ss. The flop was a nice As Th 3h, but he picked up a joker on the turn, the Qs. Now instead of three outs he had 13. He rivered the 2s for the nuts and I shipped him over 23500. I then got back up to 63000 after eliminating K8ss guy with 77 vs his J3o AIPF. The bust hand came up when the young guy to my right opened for 20000 on the button at 3/6000 (500). I jammed 63000 total with ATo from the SB. The BB folded and then said young guy started talking about how this is a super cold deck and I didn't know if I wanted a call or not. I thought he might be slowrolling me with AQ high. He eventually called and showed 55. The board gave me little hope on K43Q5. Good game. Another sniff of some real money, but it wasn't to be. Stephanie and I had a great dinner and dessert at Fix at Bellagio and then I played 4 hours of cash and made (broke even) 600 bucks. I have an 8 a.m. doctor's appointment, so I have to be awake in like 5 hours. The one-thousand dollar rebuy tournament is tomorrow. I have played this tournament 3 times since 2006 at the WSOP and cashed in it twice. Hoping to get cash number four of this WSOP tomorrow.
