Ok. This might be the one. I'm on to day 2 of the 2000 dollar tournament at The Bicycle Casino here in Los Angeles. We stopped play tonight when we got to 18, which is where the money started. I limped in with 23200 chips. The average is 38000. We started with 171 players. The nice thing is this tournament is pretty super structured. Blinds will be just 4/800 (100) for another 18 minutes when we return to play tomorrow. That means the average stack is a shocking 47.5x the BB, an unheard of stat for a shallow tournament like this. I have lots of room to play before I have to jam. The winner gets 123000 and a 10000 dollar seat to the Legends WPT this weekend. Second is 60ish, Third 30ish, and 4th 18ish, so anything out of the top 4 will be pretty insignificant. The only players I know by name that are still remaining are Gene Todd and Jimmy Tran. I'm really happy with how I played poker today. I was deliberate and made sure I was making the best decision each time. I think I made two minor mistakes all day. We resume play at 7:15 p.m. tomorrow night and will play until we have a winner. Coverage of the event can be found at pokerpages.com. Who knows? Maybe I'll win.

Tomorrow, Stephanie and I are going to Universal Studios since I don't have to play until 7:15. Also, we've been an item for one year tomorrow, which is kinda cool :)
