I arrived back in Birmingham, AL this morning after flying Philadelphia to Charlotte to Memphis and then driving Memphis to Huntsville (to drop Stephanie off at her house) to Birmingham. It was a lot of traveling, and I'm glad to be back home for ten or so days without having to do anything. I think skipping WPT Turks was a good idea, because all the traveling was starting to become almost a hassle. I intend on exercising each day and trying to eat as well as possible while I'm back home. I went for a 10 minute run today, so that's a start. I'm still sick about how Borgata ended for me, but hands like that come up, and you just hope to avoid 'em. I plan on playing the following live tournaments before the end of the calendar year:
The Aruba Classic, WPT Barcelona, US Poker Bowl in Vegas, WPT Niagara, WPT Foxwoods, and WPT Five Diamond at Bellagio. I am leaning towards returning to school at The University of Alabama in the Spring of 2008. Thus, I'm looking forward to playing poker for the next 3 months and then getting back into some of my old pre-poker interests.
Good luck to my friend Mike Matusow who is playing great tournament poker and at another WPT final table.
Also, I'm excited about watching Survivor:China tonight to see Jean-Robert Bellande in action.
