About to Leave Barcelona

I'm sitting in the Barcelona airport. We missed our first flight that was supposed to be at 10:05 a.m. local. I played the Super Tuesday 1000 dollar tournament on Stars last night (this morning) and finished 7th for 11000. I keep flirting with some real money. I also finished 23rd in the 100 rebuy. I expected to be able to make the flight as long as I didn't make the FT, and I figured if I did make the FT then I wouldn't care. We got here to the airport and amazingly they didn't even charge us a dime to change to a direct flight to ATL at 1:05 p.m. Our original flight went through JFK in New York, and now we'll arrive in ATL at the same time as the original flight. It's gonna be a long day because when we get to ATL we'll have a few hours to relax before getting on a direct Spirit Air flight to Vegas.

The trip here was amazing. Sadly, we never got off of the American sleep schedule. Therefore, we went out each night between 5 and 10 p.m. to sightsee. I played a lot online while I was here, so I was usually playing tournaments until 7 or 8 a.m. local. Sunday the internet at the hotel fucking cost me thousands of dollars in equity as it went out when I was deep in the money of the Sunday Warmup and then royally screwed me when I had a lot of chips in the Sunday Mulligan and the Stars second chance which I eventually bubbled. I tilted hard and airballed the rest of the night on the dodgy connection. We got to do a lot of cool stuff though including site seeing at all the major spots including Las Rambles, Glories, and la Plaza de Cataluyna. We also checked out a couple of really cool parks. That's something that I and the rest of Americans should start to incorporate in our life. Europeans spend their off days outside enjoying the outdoors and cool stuff like that instead of lounging around watching TV in the house. Atleast, that's the way it appears. I should have blogged about our adventures daily, but I was too lazy. We also ate some really great, authentic Spanish meals. I, for one, am addicted to Seafood Paella as I mentioned in an earlier blog. Let's see what else. I've been running like death in the PCA satellites and steps on Stars. There is a good chance I won't even play EPT PCA, but I figure when I win a seat I can get the cash equivalent if I make up a good enough excuse. I honestly don't know if I ever ran as much below EV in all-in situations over a course of 20 SnGs as I have in these things. It was laughable, but I'm not bitching. I'm in for like 9000 in steps but I have 4500 in equity or so including two of the step 6 retries. I anticipate winning atleast a couple seats. I've been running hot online and don't want or need anywhere near as much cash as I have on there. If anyone needs online money at any site and is in Vegas email me and I'll hook you up for a good deal. Our flight leaves in 100 minutes. Hopefully I'll sleep all nine hours to ATL because we've been up for like 20 hours straight. Oh, also congrats to my friend Steve Sung for FTing WPT Barcelona. Thanks for reading.
