Happy Birthday Mom!

I've been back in Birmingham since last night. My Mom's birthday is today, so I came in last night to eat dinner with her and my sister Heather. We ate at a great place called The Fish Market in Hoover that I'm sure Birmingham readers are familiar with. I'm not much of a fish guy, but I had a fantastic New Orleans Snapper meal that was to die for. Today we've kinda just been relaxing around the house. We intended on going to The Comedy Club at the Stardome in Hoover (shout out to Bruce Ayers!), but my Mom is actually kinda sick and it's hella cold outside.

I followed up my FTP tournament score with a couple of decent days playing hu NLHE cash online. I had the very good fortune of having a big fish sit with me heads up around 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning. I was just about to shut down for the night and go to bed, but I ended up playing him for a couple hours and taking him for several buy-ins. In the past I kind of just dismissed cash games as a way to grind out money to overcome the variance of tournaments. That said, I've never really put a lot of time into it or really appreciated how exciting it can be...especially hu IMO. I'm'a head back to Tuscaloosa in the morning to go to the Bama vs. Vandy basketball game. It's the last SEC game of the season, and it will have important SEC tournament implications (they'll either finish dead last in the SEC West or next to last), so I wanna check it out :) Sunday I'm gonna play the online tournaments and then my Dad and I are going to catch an early flight to Orlando on Monday morning. Also, basebaldy, Jlimbs, thugmoneymkr, bonzo9876, csimmsux and I landed the sickkkkkkkkkkkest house ever for a couple of months in Vegas starting late, late March. We're forking out a gross 12000 per month for rent, but it'll be insane.
