March Madness Tilt

Not too much happened this week. I lounged around a bunch. St. Patrick's Day was Monday, so some friends and I drank like 19 pitchers of green bud light at Hooters. We started at like 3:30, so I passed out at 9:30 p.m...unlucky. I played a little poker which went not so great. I lost like 4000 today and I think broke about even the other days. I exact bubbled a WSOP Main Event seat on FTP the other night. I finished 4th out of like 225 players with 3 getting seats. Fourth was still good for 3200 bucks or something.

I got in a couple of pools for the NCAA Men's tournament. This is such an exciting time of the year IMO. I went a horrid 11-5 today. So sick. I lost all 5 of the games that were on the fence. I picked Kentucky, Kent St., USC, Arizona and BYU and they all bombed. ::Awaits comments from the college basketball analysts on the rail:: I'm in one pool with my Vegas roommates. I'm also in a nice, big pool in the HSNL section of 2p2. 56 of us pooled 1000 each and it will be winner take all. Unfortunately I'm in the bottom 15% or something after day 1, but a lot can still change. Of my five losses today, I had just one team (USC) winning another game. I had them moving into the sweet 16 only. I desperately need Georgetown to make a final 4 run, and I really need a sweet 16 win from Louisville over Tennessee. I don't think I was creative enough with my bracket given that the format is winner take all. There is much more strategy and leveling that goes in to filling out a winner-take-all bracket than you might imagine.

Tomorrow I'm going to all 4 games at the BJCC in Birmingham. I cannot wait. I'm taking my Mom to the early session and then my friend Kaleb is joining me for the night session. I'll be rooting for Tennessee, South Alabama, St Joe's and Louisville in these games. I actually have a spare pair of tickets to the games that I intend on selling outside the stadium tomorrow. I accidentally won two eBay auctions. I'll sell the pair for all sessions for 400 (what I paid for them) as a reader's discount :) If anyone wants them and reads this by like 9 a.m. email me and I'll meet you there or something.

Hope your brackets look better than mine. Thanks for reading.
