Sigh. Out in 7th. Again. I earned 8740 dollars. Things just went poorly all day. We lost Mario and then the girl, Mindy within the first 45 minutes. We then played for 2 hours before I busted in 7th. I battled uphill the whole day. At the risk of sounding like I'm making excuses, I just didn't pick up any hands at all and had to make a few moves to stay afloat. It was just so rare that I felt like I had good opportunities to put my chips in. I pretty much nitted it up and took 55000 to the first break. We returned from break and the very first hand playing 2/4000 (500), I was able to find red deuces on the button unopened for an easy shove in. I did that a couple of times on the button with KJ once and 98o once. I was at exactly 60000 still at 2/4000 when Nam opened the CO for 11000. I found 85o on the button, and it seemed like a good spot to move in because I felt like Nam was opening very wide. The dude John in the BB made me sweat for a full two minutes before finally mucking. Nam quickly mucked too, so I was back up to around 80000. The very next hand I found KQo and raised to 11000. Mike Mizrachi was very short at 15500 in the SB and moved in. The BB called and I called. The board ran 6253A and Mike tripled up with A7. The other guy had KT. I was at 64000, and I raise/folded KQhh from UTG to the Frenchman's reraise out of the SB. I then blinded all the way down to 42000 at blinds 3/6000. Nam was very short at 25000 in the BB. I found A8dd and had a robotic shove for my last 7 bets. The Englishman right behind me moved in over the top, and the Frenchman tanked forever before folding the SB. Nam folded KJ in the BB. The guy showed me QQ, and I was already in the back room to get paid and ready to get the hell out of there before the dealer put the river out on a board of KQ95x. Hurts to play so long and get paid so little, but I like how I'm playing, and I'm pretty sure these 7th place finishes were out of my control for the most part. I'll be back in action in the 5000 tomorrow.
