I got back to Vegas Friday afternoon. I had the good fortune of having a friend of mine Travis on the same flight from Birmingham to Vegas, so that made the time pass a lot more quickly. On Friday I arrived back at the house and learned that I'd gained 6 lbs over my vacation as I weighed in at 213. I promptly went to the gym, lawl. After the gym I met my sister, two of her co-workers Jake and Tiffany, and her boss, Jeff for dinner at this place Joe's in the Caesar's Forum Shops. Mannnnnn it was really fantastic. I had a great steak. Vegas restaurants never disappoint. Jake happens to be a good friend of mine from high school, so it was cool catching up with him.

After dinner everyone but Jeff went to Tryst nightclub at The Wynn. I loveeee Tryst and figured they would like it too. We got in and disposed of a bunch of drinks and had a really good time. In another really strange coincidence, we happened to see Alabama basketball players Richard Hendrix and Mykal (sp?) Riley in the nightclub. I believe they were in town for some sort of NBA tryout. Hendrix actually just finished his Junior year but threw his name in the NBA draft hat. He has not hired an agent yet, so hopefully he comes back. While I don't masquerade as a basketball expert, I believe it would be a huge mistake for him to turn pro at this point. 'Twould be kinda akin to the Kennedy Winston situation a few years back that Bama fans will remember when he hired an agent and didn't even get drafted. We also had the obligatory celebrity run-in as we saw boxer Floyd Mayweather in the club as well. He had a table and a huge entourage. We believe we spotted Vivica Fox amongst them, too. Poker players Brandon Cantu and Bobby Bellande were also there. You never know who you're gonna see at Tryst!

I woke up just in time for the start of the Sunday million yesterday. I busted in the 50/100 level with top set of Kings against from EP against the SB's J9o defense on a board of KQ5T3. The guy checkcalled the flop, checkraised the turn, then 1.5x moved all-in on the end. World class players would have folded the river, I think, but then I'm not sure because the guy had really bad stats and is probably just as likely to have something goofy like Q5 of diamonds. If you always fold here you probably are getting run the hell over a lot. I went like 1/7 again with a min cash in the HU event. The past 3 or 4 Sundays have gone really shitty for me, as far as I remember. No problem though.

I napped again and then had a nice hu session playing on FTP making about 6000 playing 10/20. I got really lucky because early Sunday morning when I got home wasted I almost played a 2/400 o8 session but then I remembered about the 10000 dollar freeroll that I offered. Whooo that was close.

Let's seeeeeeeeee what else. I don't think too much else is going on. I'm on a terrible sleep schedule. Tonight is game 7 of the New Orleans Hornets and San Antonio Spurs series. The Hornets are a really fun team to watch, so I'll be rooting hard for them.

Oh yea, my poker roommates and I are interested in doing a roommates vs roommates prop bet for the WSOP. Maybe in the neighborhood of like 10 to 15000 dollars per player, with 4 or 5 on each team. Obviously, each team would be comprised of guys living in a house together this summer. If anyone is interested in doing that let me know. We can go from there and set up all the terms. I will probably also make a post about it on twoplustwo, despite the huge chance that I will get flamed and called out as arrogant for issuing an open challenge. I've got some business to take care of today but expect another blog maybe tomorrow.

I'm going to try to get to a bunch of emails, myspace messages, facebook messages, etc this week. I think after returning these messages I will probably stop replying to facebook and myspace messages that are poker related, namely because I hate both of the sites. Sorry but I just get an overwhelming number of messages there. I would much prefer you guys email me if you don't mind. Also I don't really like talking poker on that facebook messenger thing because it creeps me out, so don't be offended if I don't respond. I hope this paragraph doesn't make me look like an ass!
