Out of Event #2

Sigh. Out of Event #2 in level 7. Early on things were interesting. I drew a table that was all the way up actually in the poker room next to the sportsbook. The field was massive, and I hardly even recognized anyone in the room and no one at my starting table, just how you like it in the Saturday 1500s.

On the sixth hand of the day a random open limped the cutoff and I found AdAc on the button and raised to 200. He called. The flop was JT5 with two diamonds. He checked, I bet 275, and he checkraised to 600. I called. The turn was a 4. The random led out almost full pot of 1500. He had my 2150 chips total covered by just 50 chips. I thought for a bit before deciding to go with it. He called and showed me QJo. I faded the five outs. Next I stacked some kid with KK vs his JJ to shoot myself quickly to 10000 in chips. Then, I lost a couple thousand to this dude when my 52cc in the BB was no good against his limped Q9cc on a board of 6c4c4x5sAc. They broke our table, but we were still up in the casino right near Buzio's restaurant. I now drew a table where I recognized only online player Soggy_Dog and a couple of other faces. An interesting one came up at 1/200 (25). An active guy raised the HJ to his standard 800, and this Canadian guy called in the SB. The guy who opened looked really weak, so I found 87o and decided to squeeze it to 2800. The first guy folded and the Canadian (who was already annoyed at me for winning pots) instaturbosnap called 2000 more OOP in the small. The flop was 982. The guy checked, and I thought before deciding to just shove my remaining 7100 into the 6600 pot. I like this line because I can easily get called by 33-77 and maybe even AQ. The guy tanked and folded. Later, I busted Soggy by winning a race with AJss vs his 88.

Finally we got moved down to the Amazon room, but we stayed in the same seats with the same players. I was really cruising along and up to about 22000 when a really sick hand came up. Said Canadian had been moved tables and actually got sent back to our table in a different seat. I raised AsKd from up front to 1100 a 2/400 (50), and he called from the SB with about 17000 chips total. The BB folded, and the two of us saw KQ4 with two clubs. He checked, and i bet 1600. He called. The turn was an offsuit deuce. He checked, and I bet 4100 actually praying he would tilt shove on me. He thought 15 seconds and called. The river was the Jh. He insta fired out 7000. I thought for about 90 seconds and finally called. He showed me rivered Queens and Jacks, afhask;dfjhakjdfd. This is normally a pretty clear fold, but we had a certain dynamic that led me to believe he wanted to beat me out of a pot and especially show me a bluff. The problem is I still think I can only beat a flush draw. It's probably not horribad since he layed me a pretty damn good price with only a half pot bet on the end. Still, when I'm really on my game I don't have much of a problem throwing this hand away. It's unfortunate that he got there though, because I was valuebetting all-in for his 11000 on just about any card that came off on the end. Maybe I'm lucky he led out, because I still would've moved all-in for value on the Jh river and it would've cost me an additional 4000.

I was sick and down to 8000. Then, this pot came up where I decided to open limp A5o in the HJ. The SB completed and BB checked. Flop 953 with two diamonds. The BB led out 1100 into 1400, and I called. Turn Qd. Check-Check. River 3. He checked, and I checked behind. He showed me Ad3x, fjak;dsjfha;kjfa.

I doubled on the final hand before dinner with QQ vs AKo AIPF to take 9200 to dinner. Cody, Renee and I ate at Sao Paulo Cafe and then watched some games in the sportsbook. Goooooooo Bama Softball.

We got back and my table broke once again. I now found a table where I recognized online player Inyaface. We played 3/600 (75) and I was so fucking card dead that I couldn't get a chip in the pot until I was down to 5950. I found KK in the HJ and moved it all-in. The kid behind me almost found a call but folded, sigh. So did the others. The very next hand I had 7200ish. It was folded to me in MP and I found KQdd and jammed. Said kid behind me called with AA. The flop brought the Td but that was about it. I was drawing dead on the turn. Sucks to play that late in the night, make the top 20% of the field and get nothing, but I know what I'm signing up for each day.

The next WSOP event for me is Monday. It's event #3 and will be a 1500 dollar PLHE affair. If I bust before 5 p.m. on Monday I will also play the evening event #4 5000 dollar Mixed Hold 'em (LHE/NLHE).

In other news, today marks the 1 year anniversary of the day that I broke my back. It's hard to believe that it has been that long. Luckily, I am back to like 99% strength. I've been to the gym the last two days, and I feel really good. I can see and feel my body getting in shape.

I don't have anything else. We're gonna play online MTTs tomorrow.
